AEL, whose real name is Alexandre-Édouard Lepage, is a Franco-Canadian music artist born in 1977 in Montreal. He began his career as a DJ and electronic music producer in Montreal clubs in the early 2000s. In 2003, he released his first album, "L'Effet papillon", under the pseudonym of Ael, to critical acclaim. In 2006, his second album, "Le Dernier Voyageur", released under his real name, received even more praise than the first, positioning him as one of the most talented Franco-Canadian artists of his generation. In 2009, his third album, "Les Chants du Nord", confirmed his reputation as a leader of the Franco-Canadian electronic scene. AEL is known for his prolific musical output, with several albums and singles to his name. In 2012, his fourth album, "Étoiles filantes", was well received by critics and the public. With a unique fusion of electronic and acoustic sounds, AEL is considered one of the best electronic music artists of his generation, with compositions that are both melodic and energetic and captivating performances.
