Björn Akesson is a Swedish trance music producer and DJ. He was born on June 28, 1985 in Stockholm. Akesson began his musical career by playing classical piano at the age of 8. At the age of 12, he discovered trance music and started producing his own tracks. In 2006, he signed a contract with the Swedish label Anjunabeats and released his first single, "Perfect Blue". Since then, he has released several singles and albums, and has performed in clubs and festivals around the world. Akesson is known for his melodic and atmospheric productions, and has been compared to artists such as Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and Ferry Corsten. In 2012, he was ranked number 24 in the Trance Addict Top 100 DJ. In 2013, he was ranked number 22 in the Trance Podium Top 100 DJ.
