Aurra was an American R&B and dance music group, primarily known for their successful 1980 single, "You and Me Tonight." The group was formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1979 by singer/songwriter/producer/Steve "Silk" Hurley. The original lineup consisted of Hurley, singers Chris Johnson and Linda Lawrence, and rapper/singer Starleana Young. The group's first single, "Are You Single," was released in 1979 and reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. The group's second single, "You and Me Tonight," was released in 1980 and reached the Top 10 of the Hot 100. The group's third single, "In My Life," was released in 1981 and reached the Top 40 of the Hot 100. The group's fourth and final single, "Send My Love," was released in 1982 and reached the Top 40 of the Hot 100. Aurra disbanded in 1983.
