The Delinquent Habits

BIOGRAPHY

The Delinquent Habits is an American hip hop group from Los Angeles. It was formed in 1991 and consists of members Ives Irie, Kemo the Blaxican, and DJ O.G. Style. The group is particularly known for its unique style, blending traditional Mexican music such as mariachi with modern hip hop. The group's self-titled debut album was released in 1996 and was a big success, mainly thanks to the hit song "Tres Delinquentes." Since then, Delinquent Habits has consistently released new albums, continuing to experiment with different music and rhythms while staying true to its Hispanic roots. Some of their major hits include songs like "Return of the Tres," "Here Come the Horns," and "Mescalito." The group's bold and innovative sound has helped them become influential in the Latin hip hop scene, while also gaining respect and recognition in the world of hip hop in general. The group's work has also been recognized in the film industry, with their songs featured in movies such as "Cruel Intentions" and "Double Team." The Delinquent Habits are also known for their social commitment and often political lyrics, addressing issues such as social injustice, immigration, and poverty. To this day, the group continues to make music, performing both in the United States and internationally.
