Nu Shooz is an American music group formed in 1982 in Portland, Oregon. The group consists of singer John Smith and singer Valerie Day, as well as several musicians who accompany them in the studio and in concert. Nu Shooz experienced international success with their single "I Can't Wait", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. The group also had some success with other singles, such as "Point of No Return" and "Should I Say Yes?". Nu Shooz continued to record and perform in concert for many years, and released several albums, including the most recent, "Till I Met You", in 2016.
