The band found international success with their self-titled debut album released in 1982. Their most famous single, "I Ran (So Far Away)," was a hit in the US and propelled the group to the world music stage. Despite limited success in the United Kingdom, A Flock of Seagulls left a lasting impact in North America. After the release of their second album, 'The Story of a Young Heart,' in 1983, the group experienced ups and downs before disbanding in 1988."
