Sanchez began his musical career in New York clubs during the 1980s. In 1993, he released his first album, "Oye Como Va", under the name DJ Roger. This album was successful and contributed to establishing Sanchez's reputation in the house music scene. In 1996, Sanchez initiated his own compilation series titled "Release Yourself", which became one of the most popular mix series in the house music genre.
