The band Pointguards is composed of four French musicians: Nicolas, Antoine, Benjamin, and Pierre. They met at the Paris School of Music and started playing together in 2006. Since then, they have released two albums, "First Light" in 2007 and "New Maps" in 2009, and have performed in numerous clubs and festivals across France and Europe. The band's music is a fusion of jazz, funk, hip-hop, and rock, and they often incorporate samples from films and electronic music in their compositions. In 2010, the group was selected to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest and finished fourth. They were also nominated for the Victoires de la musique award for Best Jazz Album of the Year.
