BIOGRAPHY

Biography of Bulldozer

Bulldozer is a French rock band formed in 1977 in Paris. The band is composed of Jean-Jacques Burnel (vocals, bass), Nicky Wire (guitar), Richard Edwards (guitar) and Phil Taylor (drums). They have released eight studio albums, with their latest, "The World Is Yours", released in 2016. Their music is influenced by punk rock and new wave, and they have been a major influence on the punk movement in France in the 1980s. The band broke up in 1987, but reformed in 2016 for a European tour.

Burnel and Wire formed the band after leaving the British punk band The Stranglers. They were joined by Edwards and Taylor, and released their first album, "Off the Beaten Track", in 1977. Their second album, "The Age of Miracles", was released in 1979 and reached number one on the French charts. Their third album, "The World Is Yours", was released in 1981 and reached number two on the French charts. The band released two more albums, "Stand Up and Be Counted" (1982) and "This Is the Age of Miracles" (1984), before disbanding in 1987.

The band reunited in 2016 for a European tour, and released a new album, "The World Is Yours", in 2016. The band has announced a world tour in 2017, which they will participate in with the American punk band Rancid.
