BIOGRAPHY
Yamppier is a Franco-Spanish music artist, born in Madrid, Spain, in 1981. He grew up in France and studied classical music at the Paris Conservatory. He later studied composition and jazz piano at the American School of Modern Music in Paris. In 2004, he won the Ircam-Cursus electronic music composition competition, allowing him to work with French composer Pierre Boulez. Yamppier then created his own music production company, Yamppier Music, and produced several electronic and contemporary music albums. In 2010, he was named a laureate of the International Ircam-Acanthes Composition Competition. His works have been performed at numerous festivals in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Japan, China, South Korea, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
