NTM is a French hip-hop group originating from Seine-Saint-Denis, more specifically from the 93. The group is composed of JoeyStarr and Kool Shen, who are considered pioneers of French rap and had a significant influence on the French hip-hop scene of the 1990s. NTM began to gain popularity in the 1980s and released their first album, "Je ne suis pas un héros" (I am not a hero), in 1988. This first opus was a success and propelled the group to the forefront of French rap. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, NTM continued to release albums and was very active politically, notably supporting the movements of the French suburbs. In 2009, NTM made a grand return with the album "13", which was both a commercial and critical success. NTM is considered one of the most influential groups in the history of French hip-hop, having played a crucial role in the evolution of French rap and influencing many artists.
