Melanie Martinez is an American musical artist born on April 28, 1995, in Baldwin, New York. She began her career in 2012 by participating in the third season of The Voice, an American singing competition. Subsequently, she signed with Atlantic Records and released her first studio album, Cry Baby, in 2015. The album was a commercial success, reaching the top of the Billboard 200. In 2016, Melanie released her first EP, Dollhouse, which was also commercially successful, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200. In 2017, she released her second studio album, Cry Baby's Extra Clothes, which reached number four on the Billboard 200. In 2018, her third studio album, K-12, was also a commercial success, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200.
