BIOGRAPHY
Funkastarz is a French electronic music duo originating from Paris, France. The group is composed of producers and DJs Nicolas Laugier and Benjamin Cohen.
The duo met in the early 2000s while attending the same music school in Paris. They began making music together and released their first single, "Funkytown," in 2004. The single was an instant hit, and the duo quickly gained fame in the French electronic music scene.
Funkastarz has released two albums, Funkastarz (2006) and Funkastarz 2 (2008). The group has also remixed tracks for numerous famous artists, including Daft Punk, Justice, and Bob Sinclar.
In 2010, Funkastarz was nominated for a Grammy Award for their remix of "Alejandro" by Lady Gaga.
Funkastarz is currently working on their third album, set to be released in 2012.
