Eric Morillo was a world-renowned DJ and music producer, particularly known for his work in the house music genre. He was born in New York in 1971 and grew up in Colombia before returning to the United States at the age of 11. His career began in the mid-1990s with the release of several successful singles, including "I Like to Move It" under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real. He founded the label Subliminal Records, which became a reference in the world of house music.
In addition to DJing around the globe, Morillo also produced music for various artists and compilations. However, he faced some personal difficulties related to substance abuse, which led him to take a break from his career in 2017. Morillo passed away in 2020 at the age of 49. His musical contributions are still celebrated today, and his absence is undeniably felt in the music industry.
