BIOGRAPHY
Alex Byrka Breame, born October 11, 1988, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his work with the band OneRepublic.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Breame began his musical career as a drummer and percussionist in several local bands. He quickly began producing and engineering music for other artists, and in 2007, he co-founded the production team The Messengers with producer Eric Frederic. Their first major success came with the production of OneRepublic's hit single "Apologize," which topped the charts in several countries.
In 2009, Breame co-wrote and produced the song "Halo" for Beyoncé, which won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. He has since produced and written for several other artists, including Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Maroon 5, and Shakira.
Breame is currently signed to Interscope Records as a solo artist and is working on his debut album.
