Bob Marley

BIOGRAPHY

Bob Marley was born in Jamaica in 1945. He grew up in a humble family and began singing in Kingston's clubs in his youth. In 1966, he formed the group The Wailers with Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh. They recorded several albums together, with the most famous being "Exodus", released in 1977. After Bob Marley's death in 1981, the group disbanded and each member pursued a solo career. Bob Marley was a very popular artist in Jamaica and around the world. He popularized reggae and was the first Jamaican artist to find success in the United States. His songs are inspired by the Rastafari religion, politics, and the fight against racism. He was declared persona non grata in Jamaica in 1976 after organizing a concert in an attempt to end the violence between the country's two major political parties. Bob Marley is considered one of the greatest musicians of all time and his legacy lives on through his songs.
