Al Corley

BIOGRAPHY

Al Corley (born September 6, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer, known for his hit single "Square Rooms". Born in Wichita, Kansas, Corley launched his musical career playing in local blues clubs before signing with RCA Records in 1977. His self-titled debut album was released the following year, produced by Tommy James and featuring the single "You Oughta Be with Me", which reached the Top 40 in the US. Corley's second album, "Emotion in Motion", was released in 1982 and included the single "Square Rooms", which was a big hit in Ireland, New Zealand, and Switzerland, and charted in the Top 10 in several other countries. Although Corley released two more albums in the 1980s, neither were as successful as his debut album. He then turned his focus to acting, appearing in films such as "Pretty Woman" (1990) and the television series "Melrose Place" (1992-1999). Corley returned to music in 2006 with the album "The Heart of the Matter", followed by "Dreamer" in 2012. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
