BIOGRAPHY
Advance was a French musical duo composed of singers/songwriters Pascal Obispo and Jean-Jacques Goldman. They were active from 1989 to 1996 and released two studio albums.
Pascal Obispo and Jean-Jacques Goldman met in the 1980s when they were both part of the French pop rock group Les Enfoirés. In 1989, they decided to form a duo and released their first album, "Tout le monde peut s'enrichir," which was a commercial success, selling over two million copies in France.
Their second album, "Dans un autre monde," was released in 1991 and was even more successful, selling over three million copies in France. It included the hit "Je te donne," a duet with Goldman's wife, French singer Céline Dion.
The duo disbanded in 1996 after Obispo decided to pursue a solo career. Goldman continued to write and produce for other artists, including Dion, Renaud, and Johnny Hallyday.
